At today's training for potential Mentors, we looked at Communication and Facilitation of teens in LARGE and small groups.
The symbol above is "ting" which means "listen" in Mandarin (Chinese).
Volunteers left the Training session with a 'tiiing-ing' in their ears.
A resolve to Listen carefully to teenagers with not just their Ears,
but Eyes and Heart as well !

Phase 3 Volunteers Training!
Training for potential Mentors began last week at ARCCADE !
In #01 Understanding Youth, Phase 3 volunteers went back to the time they were 13 and 14 years old, in order to put themselves into Mentee's shoes.
Today's adolescents face many challenges, risks, and potential negative peer influences. They seek protection and support from their parents, good friends, and positive role models in their lives.
Here are two models which depict several facets of a Youth today.

Survey Administration
Props!
Hello everyone! I was thinking about the United Nations Recognition Ceremony the other day, and was reminded about so many things about the day - the mentees' excitement, the mentors'
excitement about the mentees' excitement, the performances, and all the balloons! Remember the balloons?
Then I realized that the days leading to the ceremony was laden with activities and rehearsals, and that is just as important as the ceremony in itself. Here you go, guys, pictures of you making those beautiful props!

Mentors Closure Ceremony
Jinjang Field Days (Part 1)
Good morning, guys! I thought I'd upload pictures of field days, since I don't think you guys had your cameras handy to snap these. The ones below are from Jinjang, and they are all from various field days. Because we've got loads of pics, I'm calling this Part 1 (otherwise we'd all be confused, and if there is one thing I know for sure, it is this - Never Confuse the Confused.)
Aaaaanyway, here are the pictures -
